The 2011-2012 Season

Three Great Works Full of Beauty

With Something for Everyone

Founded just two years ago, Vashon Opera has presented five operas to sold-out audiences – La Bohème, Little Red Riding Hood, The Tender Land, The Barber of Seville and Madama Butterfly becoming a cherished jewel in the crown of the rich Vashon Arts community.

And now, look what’s next...

Vashon Opera's Third Season - We begin with Bizet’s Carmen, possibly the world’s most beloved opera. It’s got it all: the passion of Spain, blood in the sand and a lusty Carmen prowling our bullring stage. Chorus and audience will surround the action in this special production performed in the round.

Next is Hansel & Gretel, a free performance for the children of the island. Two cheerful siblings, a witch, and a candy house!

We end our season with the Russian majesty of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin – unrequited love, a duel, and Russian soul inspired by the greatest Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

In our intimate settings you will be engulfed by the action and embraced by the romance. Come and be swept away!
